The Department of Business Informatics started its education and training activities in 1991.

The main subject of the department is to create the most appropriate information systems for the needs of the business and to provide integration between them so that the organization has an effective information-operating infrastructure. In addition, efforts are made to continuously improve this infrastructure and to ensure that it makes the maximum contribution to business objectives.

In this context,

- algorithms & data structures,
- databases,
- software development,
- process modeling
etc. courses are given.

A significant portion of the courses in the department are taught on computers and programming languages such as Visual Basic and Java are taught in these courses.

Marmara University Department of Business Informatics in German is the department that offers the most comprehensive SAP education in Turkey today. SAP, the most advanced corporate information system, is taught practically and students are awarded SAP-UA (University Alliances) certificates within the framework of the cooperation with SAP. Our department is also a member of Oracle Academy.
